After growing up in Tennessee, Jessie’s international travels (30+ countries so far!) have given her a deep interest in world cultures and the ways they are shaped and expressed by language.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and a CELTA certification for ESL teaching. She has taught English for seven years, including three years teaching in a Bedouin village and two years working with the British Council in Amman, Jordan. Jessie also brings her experience with public speaking and media relations into her classroom.
While she is settling into life in Chattanooga, she still loves meeting people from other countries and finding ways to facilitate connection and understanding across linguistic and cultural differences.
