Carolyn Tinker

Carolyn Tinker is an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher for Chattanooga School of Language. She has a bachelor’s degree in English and is internationally certified as an ESL teacher. She has been teaching ESL for about 11 years. Before teaching ESL, she worked with middle and high school students in Kansas. She just completed her master’s degree in Counseling from Richmont Graduate University.

She has worked with students from five continents, 30 different countries and 16 different languages. She has experience teaching people of all ages and really enjoys meeting people from all over the world. She is always looking to discover new foods and cultures.

She is originally from St. Louis, MO, and has lived in Kansas, Tennessee and Georgia. She has one son who is in first grade, and he has been taking Spanish lessons at CSL for about two years because he loves the language. Carolyn hopes to join him in learning more languages one day and looks forward to meeting more people from different cultures and growing her knowledge of the world in which we live.
